This woodpecker (or one of his many friends) spends hours entertaining the cats and me as he drums away at the tree outside my window. He was so intent on his business that I snuck outside and took several pictures before he noticed and hopped around the tree out of sight, but they weren’t at the best angle. When I came back in the house, he was already hard at work again, and I took this picture through the window. (The light spot is actually a raindrop on the window.) Funny how such a little thing can brighten up a drab, dreary day! |
